║ The North Coast Message Center BBS Listing (Cleveland 216) ║
╚════════════════════════════════════════════════════════════╝
SINCE APRIL
Welcome to yet another month of up dates of the Cleveland 216 BBS Scene. I
want to thank everyone for the support of this list. I was told about, or
discovered over 17 New BBS's to add to the list. I also heard from some old
timers <SysOp's> who gave me info, about their new phone numbers. Seems any
BBS that has been on line for more than a couple of years, are serious and in
the business for the long run. -> Ok, So who wants to start up a BBS SysOp's
retirement fund :)
MORE ABOUT THE 216 BBS LIST
When I wrote the GW-BASIC program, I'd thought I would just throw a
few names and numbers in a data bank and be done with it. I now am one
month more wiser... First there is no way this can be a real 216 BBS list.
I can list all the local Cleveland BBS's. But what about all the hundreds
of BBS's in Akron, Elyria, and other Long Distance Calling Areas from
Cleveland. If this list was sent nation wide and a caller called thinking
this was all the BBS numbers, He would be way off. Thus I have changed the
title to the Cleveland 216 BBS List.
Second, There was so many changes to this listing, that I have set up a
BBS List on my BBS. This list will be updated daily, to try and keep up
with the BBS scene. I will publish once a month a new BBS Listing. But,
I'll bet the very next day, I will be posting a new BBS or new BBS Number
change, on my board.
Third, A lot of SysOps, want to get more users. But Users are having a hard
time trying to find out about a BBS that have their interests. Hmmmmm This
looks like a job for "The North Coast Message Center BBS"...
PUTTING ON MY RED CAPE AND FUNNY UNDERWEAR..
TBBS software has this neat feature. Any SysOp can write a ASCII text file
about their BBS and upload it to my board. I will set up a menu option for
any caller to search for items or key words. If you include the words "SEX
and a caller uses the key word sex. They will get your BBS Number and whatever
the text file you uploaded.
I have on-line a file that allows you to custom search the BBS List. Let's
say you only call Apple Computer Systems, why waste your time and download
a 156 number BBS list.. out of which are 15 you only want to call. You can
open your screen capture in your communcation program software (Q-Modem it's
Ctl-Home) Type the keywords "Apple" and you will only get Apple supported
systems.
The bottom line is.. If you are a SysOp call my board and upload a text
file about your BBS. If you are a user, call my board and stay on top of
the BBS Scene. I even have a Nation Wide Listing and a Vendors Listing,
that can be searched using key words.
Finally, please contact me if you hear of a new BBS in town, or if
there is phone number change on your favorite BBS. This service is
free and no charge. I plan on keeping it that way.
Please feel free to upload this list to other BBS's.
Thank's again for the support -> -> See ya next Month..
